Supported Software
Terminology
Standard Software: This software is the current campus standard. We expect all users needing this functionality and sharing documents on campus to use the STANDARD software.
IT Supported: This is software supported by IT: Installation, Training, and support provided by the Helpdesk.
Faculty Supported: This is primarily academic software used in student labs. IT helps install this in the labs and provides limited assistance, but has no training or expertise. Many faculty are experts and are the primary point of contact for student and other faculty users.
User Supported: This is software we recognize that staff may use as an individual or departmental resource. IT does not have training or expertise in usage of these products and will assist only from a technology integration standpoint. Software is listed here if there has been some assistance from IT required; hence it is not an exhaustive list.
Prohibited: This software should never be installed or used on college owned systems. The IT Committee may approve exceptions on a case by case basis. This software will be removed when found on college owned systems.

Spyware Removal: Spybot Search and Destroy
LAN: Netware – centrally managed e-Directory and LDAP
* MS Office is available from IT at no charge for college owned systems. The Computer Helpdesk offers training for moving from Corel WordPerfect to MS Office.
