Project MUSE
is a unique collaboration between libraries and publishers providing 100% full-text, user-friendly online access to over 300 high quality humanities, arts, and social sciences journals from 60 scholarly publishers.

CSA image
Cambridge Scientific Abstracts

Education: SAGE a Full-text Collection
Includes the full text of 26 peer-reviewed journals published by SAGE
and participating societies, including up to 40 years of backfiles, and encompassing over 8,000 articles.

ERIC
(Educational Resource Information Center)
Spanning 1966 - present, ERIC is the primary database for educational research, and consists of two subsets: Journals in Education (EJ)
and Eric Documents (ED). Many of the Eric Documents are available full text.

ERIC is also available at the U.S. Dept. of Education website.

PsycINFO
Information on psychology and psychological aspects of related
disciplines including Education. PsycINFO is the electronic version
of Psychological Abstracts.

EBSCOhost image

Academic Search Premier
Academic Search Premier provides full text for nearly 4,600 scholarly publications, including full text for more than 3,500 peer-reviewed journals. Coverage spans virtually every area of academic study and offers
information dating as far back as 1975.

Teacher Reference Center
Provides indexing and abstracts for over 280 of the most popular teacher
and administrator trade journals to assist professional educators.

Mental Measurements Yearbook
Contains descriptive information and critical reviews of tests from the Buros Institute's Yearbooks. The database covers more than 2,200 commercially-available tests in categories such as personality, developmental, behavioral assessment, neuropsychological, achievement, intelligence and aptitude, educational, speech & hearing, and sensory motor.

Tests in Print
From the Buros Institute, a comprehensive bibliography to all known commercially available tests that are currently in print in the English language. Information includes: test purpose, test publisher, in-print status, price, test acronym, intended test population, publication dates, and test authors.

 

ProQuest
Search here for basic coverage of a broad range of subject areas including: arts, children, education, general interest, humanities, multicultural, psychology, sciences, social sciences, and women's interests.

SIRS
Also from ProQuest
SIRS Discoverer
Includes middle and elementary school curriculum topics. Articles and graphics from more than 1,600 U.S. and international magazines, newspapers and U.S. government documents.

SIRS Researcher
Research tool for high school students.

InfoTrac
As well as a database for teachers and administrators, the InfoTrac family includes databases currently being used by students in the South Dakota schools. These can be valuable to Education students as well as pre-service teachers. They include:

Professional Collection
Full-text periodicals for teachers and school administrators. The topics cover counseling, education, librarianship and technology.

Kid's Edition & Kids InfoBits
Two databases designed for elementary students, with access to full-text magazines, newspapers and reference books for information on current events, the arts, science, popular culture, health, people, government, history, sports and more. Kids InfoBits includes an interface that utilizes more pictures.

Junior Edition
Similar to Kid's Edition, but designed for junior high and middle school students.

Student Edition
Designed for high school students.
