American Historical Association The professional association for all historians. American Memory: Historical Collections from the Nat'l Digital Library Includes multimedia collections of digitized documents, photographs, recorded sound, moving pictures, and text from the Library of Congress's Americana collections. There are currently more than 100 collections in the American Memory Historical Collections. Center for Western Studies, Augustana College Dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history and cultures of the Northern Plains, the Center for Western Studies serves as a repository for over 200 archival collections and maintains a library in excess of 35,000 volumes on the American West. In addition, the Center holds an extensive art and artifact collection. A digital library of primary sources in American social history from the antebellum period through reconstruction. The collection is particularly strong in the subject areas of education, psychology, American history, sociology, religion, and science and technology. The collection currently contains approximately 9,500 books and 50,000 journal articles with 19th century imprints.
