Challenged materials
The Mikkelsen Library subscribes to the philosophy of intellectual freedom and does not promote particular beliefs or views. The library provides resources in a variety of formats to our patrons so that they can examine issues freely and reach their own conclusions. Because opinions differ, library materials are sometimes questioned or challenged. The person lodging the complaint will be asked to write a request for reconsideration. In consultation with the college librarians and the Library Committee, the library director will respond verbally or in writing to this request.
Disability and special needs access
The Mikkelsen Library is committed to providing accessibility to library materials, programs, and services to all users. Library staff will make every effort to accommodate reasonable requests from users with disabilities or special needs. Staff will assist with locating and retrieving any library materials.
