Saturday Activities in the Park

Saturday, June 20, activities open with a children's parage which starts at the stage in the Elmen Center and proceeds to the Heritage Park, one block to the east. There will be dancing on the green, face painting, rope making, candle making, and other crafts for children. The historic buidlings will be open for touring: the Berdahl/Rolvaag House, the Eggors One-Room School, Ole Rolvaag's Writing cabin, and the Beaver Creek Church. Food will be available under the tent as well as entertainment. At noon there will be a lutefisk eating contest and in the afternoon the Old Time Fiddlers will play. An inflatable slide will be available. At 11:00 a.m. Norske Olympics will begin: a rock-throwing contest, water balloon volley ball, 3-legged race and many other heritage games.
