Adam Strenge, Bailey Morris Crowned Viking Days King and Queen
SIOUX FALLS – Adam Strenge and Bailey Morris were crowned King and Queen of Viking Days 2008 in ceremonies conducted Sunday at the Elmen Center.
Strenge, a senior from Sioux Falls, is majoring in religion and psychology. He is the son of Deanna and Mike Strenge of Sioux Falls.
Morris, a senior from Faribault, Minn., is majoring in special education and elementary education. She is the daughter of Renee and Ron Morris of Faribault.
Joining Strenge and Morris as members of the Royal Court are Brian Boyenga (Ellsworth, MN), Cole Fricke (Alpha, MN), Sean McCain (Sioux Falls), Luke Tatge (Benson, MN), Betsy Deering (Savage, MN), Johanna Gronewold (Madelia, MN), Kari Rasmussen (Hurley, SD) and Amanda Tomlinson (Omaha, NE).
The coronation begins a week of homecoming activities at Augustana, including the Viking Days/Festival of Bands parade in downtown Sioux Falls beginning at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, October 4, and the Northern Sun Conference football game with Minnesota State at Howard Wood Field beginning at 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
