Augie Green Introduces ‘Green Bike Program’

SIOUX FALLS - Augie Green is proud to introduce the new Green Bike Program on campus for 2008-2009.

The program is designed to provide an alternative, green form of transportation for students, faculty, and staff at their convenience. Everyone in the Augustana community now has the opportunity to use one of 10 new bikes available on campus through a check out system.

A bike kick-off celebration will be held on Thursday, September 11, at 9:00 a.m. in the Morrison Commons Sieverson lounge. Program highlights include guest speakers President Rob Oliver, Spoke N’ Sport’s Pel Kolb, and introduction of the 2008 Augie Green Central Committee. The bike program and check out system will be explained in full detail. The first 10 people to register to check out a bike will be a part of the official ceremony.

This event is free and open to the community.  Treats will be provided.

Augustana community members can sign up to check out a bike at the Commons Desk.  For more information contact Augie Green at green@ole.augie.edu
