Professor Feinstein’s Latest Book to be Published This Summer

SIOUX FALLS - Dr. Sheryl Feinstein, associate professor of education, has recently authored “101 Insights and Strategies for Parenting Teenagers.” The book is scheduled to be published this summer by Healthy Learning of California.
Dr. Feinstein has written extensively in the past years. “Secrets of the Teenage Brain: Researched-Based Strategies for Reaching & Teaching Today’s Adolescents,” published in 2004 by Corwin Press, has become a national and international best seller. A second edition is scheduled to be published in September 2009.
The second edition of “Parenting the Teenage Brain: Understanding a Work in Progress,” originally published in July, 2007, by Rowman & Littlefield Publishing, will be out this summer.
Other recent publications include “Teaching the At Risk Teenage Brain,” published by Rowman & Littlefield in 2007; “The Praeger Handbook of Learning and the Brain,” published by Praeger in 2006; and “Learning and the Brain: A Comprehensive Guide for Educators, Parents, and Teachers,” published by Rowman & Littlefield in 2007.
Currently, Dr. Feinstein is working on a book related to her 2007-2008 sabbatical leave tentatively titled “In Their Own Words: Stories of Tanzanian Women with Disabilities and Chronic Illnesses.”
