Moorhead Junior Elected President of the Augustana Congregation

SIOUX FALLS – Beth Singleton, a junior religion major from Moorhead, MN, has been elected president of the Augustana Congregation.

As president, she will chair meetings of the Campus Ministry staff during the 2009-2010 academic year. She succeeds Jessica Maske, a senior religion and history major from Lincoln, NE.

Singleton is spending the 2009 spring semester working off campus as an intern to strengthen an interfaith children’s advocacy network. She is considering ministry and social work careers.

Selected this year as one of Augustana’s two Peace Prize Forum Scholars, Beth has served on the Campus Ministry staff for the past three years as an ambassador and as a coordinator of Outreach Ministries.

Also serving on the Chapel staff in 2009-2010 are Senior Ambassador Jason Johnson, Worthington, MN; Junior Ambassadors Kayla Rockwell, Sioux Falls, Rachel Hurley, Canton, SD, and Nicole Lauck, Corsica, SD; Sophomore Ambassadors Matt Cook, Adrian, MN, Hannah Miller, Mankato, MN, and Dillon DeBoer, Dell Rapids, SD. Freshman Ambassadors will be selected in the fall.

Music coordinators for 2009-2010 are Alex Eykamp, Oldham, SD, and Luke Lynass, Sturgis, SD. Liz Dolven-Kolle, St. Joseph, MN, and Jon Ask, Dunnell, MN, will coordinate Outreach Ministries.
