Four Students Chosen for Sophomore Honors

SIOUX FALLS – Four Augustana students, each with outstanding academic achievements, have been selected to receive sophomore honors.
They are Bethany Jochim from Pierre, SD; Kimberly Kohlhof from Redwood Falls, MN; Jessica Palank from Ralston, NE; and Maren Peterson from Cannon Falls, MN.
The students will be recognized during the opening convocation for the 2009-2010 school year on Wednesday, September 9, at 10:00 a.m. in the Elmen Center.
Sophomore Honors recognizes students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement at an early stage of their college career. These honors are conferred on four representatives of the preceding sophomore class, who have been selected by the faculty on the basis of scholarship, character, personal traits, and other evidences of achievement.
Bethany Jochim is majoring in Physics. She is the daughter of Loretta and Michael Jochim of Pierre, SD.
Kimberly Kohlhof is a Communication Disorders major. She is the daughter of Brenda Kohlhof of Redwood Falls, MN.
Jessica Palank is majoring in Psychology. She is the daughter of Vicki and Douglas Palank of Ralston, NE.
Maren Peterson is majoring in Economics and Government/International Affairs. She is the daughter of Jane and Richard Peterson of Canon Falls, MN.
