Former Pakistan Leader is Boe Forum Speaker

SIOUX FALLS – Pervez Musharraf, former President of Pakistan, is the speaker for the 2009 Boe Forum on Public Affairs, according to Dr. Harry Thompson, Interim Director of The Center for Western Studies at Augustana College.

President Musharraf’s address begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, October 2, in the Elmen Center, located at 2505 S. Grange Avenue on the Augustana campus. Mr. Musharraf served as President of Pakistan from 2001-2008, and Chief Executive of Pakistan from 1999-2001. The title of his talk is “The Internal and External Dynamics of Pakistan.”

The event is free and open to the public. Tickets are required for admission. All seating is general admission by section.

There are three options for obtaining tickets for President Musharraf’s appearance:

ONLINE: Tickets may be ordered online at Online orders will be mailed for a $3.50 handling fee or they may be picked up at “will call” at no extra charge at the Center for Western Studies, 2121 S. Summit Avenue, beginning September 21.

BY MAIL: Tickets are available by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to The Center for Western Studies, 2001 S. Summit Avenue, Augustana College, Sioux Falls, SD, 57197.

IN PERSON: Beginning September 21, any remaining tickets may be obtained at the Center for Western Studies, 2121 S. Summit Avenue, from 9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. For questions, call 605.274.4007.
