Three Vikings Earn All-America Recognition

SIOUX FALLS, SD – Three members of Augustana’s track and field teams turned in All-America performances Saturday at the NCAA Division II meet in Charlotte, N.C. The Vikings also set three school records.
Sophomore Tom Karbo (Stord, Norway) posted the highest finish by a member of the Augustana teams. He was fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in school-record time of eight minutes, 53.09 seconds.
Freshman Aduo Omot (Worthington, MN) finished sixth in the 800 with a time of 1:49.98.
Senior Caitlin Polgreen (Elk River, MN) was sixth in the women’s 1,500 in 4:28.48, a school record.
Freshman Cecilie Udstuen (Karmoy, Norway) did not earn All-America honors, but set a school record 2:10.08 for 800 meters.
