The Vikings placed second in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference all-sports standings as every one of their teams had a winning season. Better yet, most of those teams qualified for the NCAA Division II playoffs.

Dr. James Meader, 58, former Chair of the Social Science Division at Augustana College, died May 24, 2009, at his home in Sioux Falls. A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 28, in the Chapel of Reconciliation.
The first Augustana Summer Theatre Festival will feature six different shows by four production companies. The shows are produced independently of the college, says Ivan Fuller, chairman of the college's Performing & Visual Arts departments.
