  • Foster and Graber elected Viking Days King and Queen

    Augustana College’s student chapter of the American Chemical Society (ACS) has been chosen to receive an Outstanding Award for its activities conducted during the 2008-2009 academic year.

    The first South Dakota Music Educators Association Conference will be held in Rapid City, SD. Four Augustana students were selected in participate in the Honors Recital of student members of  the National Association for Music Education.

  • Worthington senior wins Covenant Award for Liberal Arts

    Shannon Cumiskey, a senior from Worthington, MN, is the recipient of the 2009 Augustana Covenant Award for Liberal Arts. The Covenant Award is presented five times each year, one award for each of the College’s five core values.

  • Candidates chosen for Viking Days King and Queen

    Ten Augustana seniors have been nominated to serve as King and Queen for Viking Days 2009. Coronation will mark the beginning of Viking Days 2009 "There's No Place Like Home" at 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 12, in the Elmen Center.

  • Graduate Nursing Student Wins Award for Safety Project

    Jill Rye, a graduate student in the Augustana Nursing Department, received an award at the Avera Quality Congress held in Sioux Falls. Rye is the Unit Supervisor for Rehabilitation Services at Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center.

  • Tennis Returns to Campus with Dedication of Huether Centre

    Weather was less than ideal for tennis, but Tuesday’s blustery conditions couldn’t dampen the spirit of those gathered to welcome the sport back to campus. The new facility at 33rd Street and Grange Avenue was completed last month.
