Augustana College today announced it will hold a memorial service to honor the life and accomplishments of Dr. Daniel Swets, associate professor of computer science, at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, in Augustana’s Chapel of Reconciliation.

Swets was killed in a plane crash Friday near the Sioux Falls Regional Airport. Kevin Anderson, Augustana class of 1987; Joshua Lambrecht; and Brian Blake were among the other victims.

Funeral Services

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetary. Visitation will be held from Noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.
