Student Runners Raise $500 for Special Olympics

Augustana student runners raised $500 for Special Olympics South Dakota through the inaugural Langskip 5k, held on Saturday, Oct. 6, during Viking Days.

Nearly 200 students, community members, faculty and staff registered for the run, which looped around campus twice from Grange Avenue to 28th Street to Summit Avenue. The race, organized by the Augustana Running Club, finished on Morstad Field.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from student registrations were given to Special Olympics.
