Three Elected to Augustana Board of Trustees

Delegates to the annual meeting of the Augustana Association have elected Dr. Mary Jo Kreitzer, '73; Rickard Hedeby, '83; and Emil Her Many Horses, '79, to serve on the College’s Board of Trustees.

Gala Event Planned to Celebrate Sesquicentennial

'The Spark,’ is set for 6 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at the Washington Pavilion. The evening will feature life-size historical photo galleries, food and drink buffets, presentation of the “Spirit of Augustana Awards,” a movie premiere and music and dancing at the Sesquicentennial Ball.

Choir Concert in Canton to Honor College Sesquicentennial

In honor of the Sesquicentennial, Augustana is returning to its former home in Canton, S.D. The Augustana Choir will present a “Sesqui-Sunday” concert  at 9:30 a.m. at Canton Lutheran Church on Sunday, Jan. 23.

175 Students Studying Overseas for January Interim

This month, students will study in 19 countries on six continents. “At Augustana, we often say that in order to really learn about the world, you have to see it; breathe it; taste it; live it ... we’re working to make certain our students do just that,” said Rob Oliver, president of the College.

'Awake in Me' to Premiere at Augustana Jan. 13

The newest play by Augustana's Dr. Ivan Fuller follows a less-than-objective newsman, a passionate (and dead) poet and a sister who wants to bury the past. This haunting romantic tragedy, inspired by the life and work of Soviet Poet Olga Berggolts, runs January 13-16.
