Augustana College is hosting a healthcare and spirituality discussion on Friday, September 11, at noon in the Morrison Commons 3-in-1 room. The discussion, organized by Dr. Ann Pederson, Professor of Religion at Augustana, is open to the public.
As of September 15th, Augustana's radio station, KAUR (89.1 FM), will be broadcasting Minnesota Public Radio news and information. The College will continue to own the station while MPR will provide day-to-day programming, operations and maintenance.
Cyprian Consiglio, a Camaldolese monk, musician, and teacher, is bringing a “Universal Call to Contemplation” message to Augustana College September 13-17. “Compassionate and Wise” is the overall theme for Consiglio’s visit.
A large crowd gathered Tuesday, September 1, for the dedication of Kirkeby-Over Stadium, Augustana’s new $11 million football facility. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony the crowd was invited to tour the 6,000-seat stadium.

Augustana’s student and professional Residence Life staff learned a valuable lesson on Monday: how to save lives in the event of a fire. The group spent four hours preparing to deal with fire related emergencies as part of the College’s first Fire Safety Academy.
“The Augustana Coaches’ Show” debuts on ESPN-99.1 with host Jeff Fylling. The program originates live from Champps on Mondays between 5:00-6:00 p.m. and will be broadcast throughout the Vikings’ fall and winter seasons.

The Augustana Fund, the heart of the College’s annual giving program, surpassed its goal and celebrated a record year with $818,000 in total gifts for 2008-2009. The total raised is a 35% increase over the previous year.
