9:35 A.M. SUNDAY UPDATE: Augustana Students En Route to Amsterdam; Delta Confirms Plans for "Cleopatra" Group to Depart Monday
Student members of the Augustana Band and other members of the group’s Egyptian Tour, known as the “King Tut” and “Sphinx” groups have left Cairo International Airport, en route to Amsterdam, where they are scheduled to arrive at 8:15 p.m. (1:15 p.m. CST). Delta officials have confirmed arrangements for the "Cleopatra" group to depart from Cairo on Monday, Jan. 31.
1:30 p.m. SUNDAY UPDATE: Students Arrive in Amsterdam; Remaining Travelers to Depart Cairo at 4:30 a.m. CST Monday
Forty-six student members of the Augustana Band and 15 other members of the group’s Egyptian Tour, known as the “King Tut” and “Sphinx” groups, have arrived at the Amsterdam airport. The remaining students and Tour travelers, referred to as the “Cleopatra” group, will now depart from Cairo on Amsterdam-bound KLM Flight No. 554 at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31 (4:30 a.m. CST).
Members of the Augustana Band and other Band Tour travelers remain in Cairo in anticipation of their scheduled flight home, which has now been re-scheduled to depart at 2:25 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 30 (6:25 a.m. CST Sunday). The remaining travelers will depart on Tuesday, Feb. 1.
This morning, 46 student members of the Augustana Band and other Band Tour travelers arrived at Cairo International Airport. The remaining travelers, whose Delta Airlines flight was cancelled on Friday, have been re-booked and will depart on Tuesday, Feb. 1.
At 3:45 p.m. CST Augustana officials communicated with Band leadership in Cairo, Egypt, who reported that all students and Tour travelers remain safe and secure. The "King Tut" and "Sphinx" groups are scheduled to depart at 2:25 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 30 (6:25 a.m. CST Sunday).
Due to intensifying anti-government protests in Cairo, Egypt, student members of the Augustana Band have changed hotels and College officials have canceled a concert planned for this evening.

8 p.m. FRIDAY UPDATE: Band Flight from Cairo Canceled; College Officials Working to Secure Other Flights
Augustana College officials are working closely with Egyptian tourism contractors to arrange alternative travel for members of the Augustana Band tour, following Delta Airlines’ announcement that Saturday’s flight No. 85 from Cairo to New York has been canceled.
The artwork of 24 local and regional artists will be on display Feb. 18-20 at the 31st annual Artists of the Plains Art Show and Sale, sponsored by the Center for Western Studies at Augustana College.
