  • Record Number of Season Tickets Sold for 2009 Augustana Football Season

    Augustana College officials announced today that the Vikings have sold a record 2,064 season tickets for the 2009 football season. This figure is 543 more than the previous high of 1,521 season tickets, sold in 2008.

  • Augustana Opens 2009-10 Academic Year with Enrollment Increase

    Another large first-year class and a high freshman-sophomore retention rate contributed to an enrollment increase at Augustana College. The total headcount for fall 2009 is 1,795 compared to 1,754 students a year ago.

    Bob Preloger, Augustana Vice President for Marketing & Communications, was recently interviewed by The Wall Street Journal concerning the College's value proposition and the campaign to share this information with the general public.

  • KAUR To Be Broadcasting MPR

    As of September 15th, Augustana's radio station, KAUR (89.1 FM), will be broadcasting Minnesota Public Radio news and information.  The College will continue to own the station while MPR will provide day-to-day programming, operations and maintenance.

  • Augustana Hosting Healthcare and Spirituality Discussion

    Augustana College is hosting a healthcare and spirituality discussion on Friday, September 11, at noon in the Morrison Commons 3-in-1 room. The discussion, organized by Dr. Ann Pederson, Professor of Religion at Augustana, is open to the public.

  • Camaldolese Monk Brings Contemplative Message in Word and Song

    Cyprian Consiglio, a Camaldolese monk, musician, and teacher, is bringing a “Universal Call to Contemplation” message to Augustana College September 13-17. “Compassionate and Wise” is the overall theme for Consiglio’s visit.

  • Kirkeby-Over Stadium Dedicated

    A large crowd gathered Tuesday, September 1, for the dedication of Kirkeby-Over Stadium, Augustana’s new $11 million football facility. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony the crowd was invited to tour the 6,000-seat stadium.

  • Residence Life staff, students attend Fire Safety Academy

    Augustana’s student and professional Residence Life staff learned a valuable lesson on Monday: how to save lives in the event of a fire. The group spent four hours preparing to deal with fire related emergencies as part of the College’s first Fire Safety Academy.

  • Augustana Coaches’ Show Debuts Today

    “The Augustana Coaches’ Show” debuts on ESPN-99.1 with host Jeff Fylling. The program originates live from Champps on Mondays between 5:00-6:00 p.m. and will be broadcast throughout the Vikings’ fall and winter seasons.
