Construction began recently on a multi-phased housing renovation on the north edge of the Augustana campus. The current phase mostly consists of necessary infrastructure work.

Dr. James Meader, 58, former Chair of the Social Science Division at Augustana College, died May 24, 2009, at his home in Sioux Falls. A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 28, in the Chapel of Reconciliation.
The first Augustana Summer Theatre Festival will feature six different shows by four production companies. The shows are produced independently of the college, says Ivan Fuller, chairman of the college's Performing & Visual Arts departments.
