The Department of Nursing saw a record 100 percent first-time pass rate for May 2010 graduates who took the National Council Licensure Examination, the exam for the licensing of registered nurses. Augustana's first-time pass rate is 12 percent above the national average.
Augustana has honored Gerry Berger Law and Robert S. Law, of Clear Lake, S.D., with the prestigious Tuve Award. Named for Anthony G. Tuve, the College’s president from 1890 to 1916, the Tuve Award honors visionary, forward-thinking, generous individuals.

The Augustana is published three times per year for alumni and friends of Augustana College by the Office of Marketing and Communications. The Augustana is named in honor of the College’s first student newspaper, first published in 1908 in Canton, S.D.
Augustana led the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in Academic Success Rate (ASR) for the 2009-10 academic year. Augustana student-athletes had a 91 percent ASR, more than 10 percent higher than any other NSIC institution.
