In the News: More than 100 Students Pack Meals for Kids in Need

Following Boston Bombings, Professor Organizing "Joy Run"

Following the bombings at the Boston Marathon earlier this week, an Augustana professor is organizing a run to promote the idea that "because we exist, we should not forget to live." The "Joy Run," led by Dr. David O'Hara, associate professor of philosophy and classics, will begin at 2:26 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, at the Elmen Center.

'Fermilab Today' Features Augustana Physics

Fermilab Today, an online publication by the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab), the only U.S. laboratory dedicated to high-energy physics, recently featured Augustana among the worldwide universities it collaborates with.

Augustana Dance Marathon Raises $17,020 for CMN

Students with the Augustana Dance Marathon took over the Elmen Center on Saturday to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network. The group raised $17,020.98, funds that will help provide research, treatment, equipment and education for children and families at Sanford Children's Hospital.

Newsmakers: Augustana Students Lead Neighborhood Cleanup Effort

On Saturday, 50 Augustana students helped Sioux Falls residents clean up fallen branches and debris left by the ice storm that hit the area earlier this week. Tornberg Named Goldwater Scholar

Augustana junior biochemistry major Ruthellen "Elle" Tornberg has been named a recipient of the prestigious Goldwater Scholarship for the 2013-14 academic year, an honor recognizing accomplished college students who intend to pursue careers in science, mathematics and engineering.
