College Will Be Open on Monday, Jan. 6

The Augustana College campus will be OPEN for normal scheduled events and classes on the first day of Augustana’s January Interim, Monday, Jan. 6. College housing re-opened at noon on Sunday, Jan. 5.
Students, faculty and staff are urged to exercise caution and their best judgment when traveling to the campus given extreme weather conditions Sunday and Monday.
The College will continue to assess conditions and, if changes are made in relation to classes and other campus operations, students and College personnel will be notified via the Emergency Notification System (ENS) and email.
Students, faculty and staff are urged to register for the College’s Emergency Notification System (ENS) in order to receive urgent communications via telephone, text messages and email. ENS messages are related to weather-related closures, snow emergencies and security notices.
Dubbed J-Term, the four-week January session gives students the opportunity to study abroad and partake in special one-time topic courses. This year, more than 100 students will study abroad in 17 countries on five continents.
