Viking Women Finish Seventh in NCC Tennis Tournament
SIOUX FALLS - Augustana finished seventh in the seven-team
North Central Conference women’s tennis tournament
hosted by the University of Nebraska-Omaha April 26-28
at Hanscom Park in Omaha.
The University of Northern Colorado won the title
with 60 points. The University of North Dakota was
second with 48, host UNO was third with 42, St. Cloud
State University was fourth with 40, Minnesota State
University, Mankato fifth with 29, South Dakota State
University sixth with 20, and Augustana seventh with
13.

Singles
- No. 1 - Marie-Ange Komie, MSU, defeated Melanie
Feehan, AC, 6-0, 6-0, in the first round. Berit
Merril, SCSU, defeated Feehan, 6-2, 6-2, in the
consolation semifinals.
- No. 2 - Sara Eull, SCSU, defeated Jen Bonebright,
AC, 6-0, 6-1, in the first round. Melanie Hoffrogge,
MSU, defeated Bonebright, 6-0, 6-0, in the consolation
semifinals.
- No. 3 - Nicole Lechner, SCSU, defeated Ashleigh
McBeth, AC, 6-1, 6-0, in the first round. Sara
Huls, UNO, defeated McBeth, 6-0, 6-0, in the consolation
semifinals.
- No. 4 - Laura Klinkhammer, SDSU, defeated Elizabeth
Zawanda, AC, 6-1, 6-0, in the first round. Zawanda
drew a bye in the consolation semifinals. Jessica
Conway, SCSU, defeated Zawanda, 6-1, 6-0, for
fifth place.
- No. 5 - Amber Alley, UNC, defeated Jen Lovik,
AC, 6-0, 6-0, in the first round. Lovik defeated
Kate Vander Wal, SDSU, 6-0, 6-1, in consolation
semifinals. Elizabeth Hansen, MSU, defeated Lovik,
6-3, 3-6, 6-1, for fifth place.
- No. 6 - Jodi Pease, SCSU, defeated Katie Peterson,
AC, 6-0, 6-1, in the first round. Peterson drew
a bye in the consolation semifinals. Heather Schroeder,
MSU, defeated Peterson, 6-0, 6-1, for fifth place.
Doubles
- No. 1 - Komasincki/Spalding, UNO, defeated Feehan/Bonebright,
AC, 8-1, in the first round. Everding/Vander Wal,
SDSU, defeated Feehan/Bonebright, 9-7, in the
consolation semifinals.
- No. 2 - Tidwell/Lambertz, SDSU, defeated McBeth/Lovik,
AC, 8-1, in the first round. McBeth/Lovin drew
a bye in the consolation semifinals. Eull/Conway,
SCSU, defeated McBeth/Lovik, 8-2, for fifth place.
- No. 3 - Wass/Differding, UND, defeated Peterson/Carissa
Butterfield, AC, 8-1, in the first round. Klinkhammer/Darling,
SDSU, defeated Peterson/Butterfield, 8-4, in the
consolation semifinals.
