Bloomington Jefferson Standout Signs With Augustana Women's Basketball

SIOUX FALLS - Dave Krauth, Augustana College women's basketball coach, today announced the signing of Megan Kane from Bloomington, Minn.

Kane, who has three years of eligibility remaining, sat out the 2001-2002 season after playing for the University of Minnesota as a freshman.

• Bloomington Jefferson High School
• Four-year starter at Jefferson
• Led Jefferson to three state tournaments
• Jefferson won state championship in 1998
• Three-time all-state selection
• Two-time all-tournament selection
• Ms. Basketball Finalist
• Scored 1,110 points during her high school career
• AAU All-America selection
• Played in 23 games at the University of Minnesota
• Started two games for the Gophers, missed five games because of injury
• Averaged 3.9 points and 3.3 rebounds a game for the Gophers
• Received Gophers “Hustle Award” as a freshman
