Bloomington Jefferson Standout Signs With Augustana Women's Basketball
SIOUX FALLS - Dave Krauth, Augustana College women's basketball
coach, today announced the signing of Megan Kane from Bloomington,
Minn.
Kane, who has three years of eligibility remaining, sat out the
2001-2002 season after playing for the University of Minnesota as
a freshman.
MEGAN KANE, 6-foot, forward, Bloomington, MN
- Bloomington Jefferson High School
- Four-year starter at Jefferson
- Led Jefferson to three state tournaments
- Jefferson won state championship in 1998
- Three-time all-state selection
- Two-time all-tournament selection
- Ms. Basketball Finalist
- Scored 1,110 points during her high school career
- AAU All-America selection
- Played in 23 games at the University of Minnesota
- Started two games for the Gophers, missed five games because
of injury
- Averaged 3.9 points and 3.3 rebounds a game for the Gophers
- Received Gophers “Hustle Award” as a freshman
