Four Wrestlers Sign With Augustana College

SIOUX FALLS - Augustana College wrestling coach Kraig Presler today announced the signing of four high school wrestlers from South Dakota and Minnesota.

The signees:

CRISTON BIETZ, 285 pounds, Rapid City, SD

• Rapid City Stevens High School
• Parents: Curtis and Debbie Bietz
• Three-year letter winner, wrestling
• Two-time state heavyweight champion
• Three-time National Freestyle All-America

CODY HENRIKSEN, 165 pounds, Arlington, SD

• Arlington High School
• Parents: Lonnie and Kristi Henriksen
• South Dakota state runner-up, 2001
• South Dakota State champion, 2002
• Selected to wrestle in the Disney Duals
• Academic All-State, 2002
• Competed in football, track golf
• National Honor Society
• Student body president
• Older brother, Brent Henriksen, a two-time All-America at Augustana

MATTHEW McDOUGALL, 157 pounds, Volga, SD

• Sioux Valley High School
• Parent: Carolyn McDougall
• Wrestling letter winner
• Two-time third place finished in state meet
• Multi-sport athlete

DAVID WHIPPS, 157 pounds, Jordan, MN

• Jordan High School
