The Augustana Choir Prepares for Performance at Carnegie Hall
The Augustana Choir will perform in concert at Carnegie Hall on Sunday, March 29, at 8:30 p.m. with 300 singers from around the country.
The Choir will arrive in New York two days prior to the concert for rehearsal with other selected choirs to prepare for the concert.
"It's my second opportunity to conduct there and my third chance to actually be in the building and it's a stunning hall. Beautiful acoustics, gorgeous visually and it's going to be really exciting. The students are really excited about the opportunity," said Dr. Paul Nesheim, director of The Augustana Choir.
Nesheim will direct The Augustana Choir along with other selected choirs and the New England Symphonic Ensemble in Mozart’s Missa Brevis in C major, K.220.
Alumni and Friends of Augustana Gathering
Augustana friends are invited to gather in the bar area at Redeye Grill, located at 56th Street and Seventh Avenue across from Carnegie Hall, at 7 p.m. for a meet-and-greet before the concert. Brad Heegel ’76 from Augustana will be there to say hello.
