Augustana Ranked Among Top Universities by Washington Monthly
Augustana is ranked the No. 13 baccalaureate university in the nation, according to a recent report from Washington Monthly. The publication’s "2016 College Ranking" rates 230 baccalaureate institutions according to their contribution to the public good in three areas — social mobility: recruiting and graduating low-income students; research: producing cutting-edge scholars and Ph.D.s; and service: encouraging students to give something back to their country.
The report’s introduction, “A Different Kind of College Ranking,” explains baccalaureate institutions in this way: "National universities and liberal arts colleges dominate mass media coverage of higher education, but they don’t include the hundreds of regional and master’s-granting universities that collectively enroll millions of students every year."
Augustana is committed to helping students from all economic backgrounds fulfill the dream of higher education. We are proud to say we give 100% of our full-time students financial aid.
In response to our dedication to helping all students, Augustana was also ranked in the "Best Bang for Your Buck" category at No. 139 in the Midwest, "[an] exclusive list of schools that help non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices."
