Augustana University Board of Trustees Installs New Members
At its spring meeting, held April 15-16, the Augustana University Board of Trustees installed three new board members.
Joining the Board of Trustees for three-year terms are:
- Brittany Dardis, Augustana class of 2015, serving as the Board’s Young Trustee. A business administration major at Augustana, Dardis also served as president of the Augustana Student Association (ASA) and was a participant of the Performing & Visual Arts. She currently serves as a choral director and administrator for the fine arts at O’Gorman High School in Sioux Falls.
- Don Karras, Augustana class of 1976. A business administration and economics major at Augustana, Karras went on to earn a master’s of business administration degree and law degree from the University of South Dakota in 1980 and 1981, respectively. He served as vice president of Newmont Mining Corporation from 1992 until his retirement in 2006.
- Todd Williams. Williams attended Augustana in the early 1980s before earning his bachelor’s degree from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. He later completed the Advancement Management Program at Harvard University. He currently serves as chief marketing officer for TRC, Inc., a national engineering, consulting and construction management firm.
