SIOUX FALLS – Alison Adamson, starting point guard on Augustana College’s women’s basketball team, has been named to the 2005-2006 ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-America District VII first team.
The team is selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Adamson, a junior, is from Willmar, Minn. She maintains a 3.98 cumulative grade point average in history and secondary education. She leads the Vikings in scoring at 13.8 points a game and assists at 4.1. She is third in steals.
As an academic all-district first team choice, Adamson moves to the national ballot, where she will be considered for Academic All-America recognition.
