SIOUX FALLS – A full slate of events are scheduled for Augustana College’s Family Weekend, March 10-12.
Activities begin Friday, March 10, with the Augustana Theatre production of Matthew Barber’s “Enchanted April.” The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in the main theatre of the Edith Mortenson Building.
A presentation by the Augustana Career Center begins at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Morrison Commons Back Alley. This program focuses on resources available to students including assessment tools, resume assistance, internship possibilities, mock interviews, and more. Sandi Vietor, director of the Career Center, will be available to answer questions.
Donn Grinager, director of International Programs at Augustana, will be in the Morrison Commons Back Alley at 11:00 a.m. for a presentation on study abroad experiences and opportunities.
Other activities Saturday include a senior recital by Danielle Prince and Sarah Wulff, both from Sioux Falls, in Kresge Recital Hall; a reception for student leaders in the Madsen Center; the parent/alumni/student racquetball tournament; announcement of the winner of Augustana’s Covenant Award for Community; movies at the West Mall 7 theaters; and late night dodgeball.
Family Weekend activities conclude Sunday, March 12, with worship in the Chapel of Reconciliation, and a family brunch in the Morrison Commons 3-in-1 room.
