Mary Jane Minnig Wins Augie Pride Award
SIOUX FALLS – Mary Jane Minnig, senior secretary in the Social Science Division, today was named winner of the Augie Pride Award. The award recognizes exceptional service by an Augustana employee.
Minnig, who has worked at Augustana since 1988, was one of many Augustana employees recognized at the 2006 Service Awards Presentation. Forty-six employees with more than 780 years of service to the college were honored.
Minnig serves approximately 40 full-time faculty and staff in the Social Science Division, nine staff members in Information Systems, and hundreds of students who pass through the building on a daily basis.
In a letter of recommendation, Minnig was described as a person who performs her diverse responsibilities competently, quietly, promptly, and pleasantly. “Because she does, she enhances the work of the people she serves, makes our jobs easier, and makes the building a more pleasant place to work.”
