SIOUX FALLS – The Department of Nursing’s Parish Nursing Center at Augustana College is offering the Basic Parish Nurse Preparation Course June 5-9, 2006, in Sioux Falls.
The course is designed for registered nurses who are interested in becoming parish nurses or assisting their congregations in initiating parish nursing. Included is information on the relationship of spiritual well-being and health, the history of the church in health and healing, the roles of the parish nurse, getting started, and developing and maintaining health programs within the congregation.
This program is endorsed by the International Parish Nurse Resource Center and will be offered for continuing education credit.
