SIOUX FALLS – Augustana College’s Nick Olson has been named to the 2005-06 All-North Central Conference men’s basketball team as selected by the league’s head coaches. It’s the second straight season the 6-foot-6 forward has been chosen.
A junior from Eden Prairie, Minn., Olson averaged 11.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game during the season, and 11.8 points and 4.7 rebounds in conference play. He reached double figures in scoring 16 times, including three 20-point efforts.
In NCC action, Olson ranked 13th in the league in scoring and 12th in rebounding. He was third in steals (1.58 pg), eighth in free throw percentage (78.4), 14th in 3-point percentage (38.5), and 15th in 3-point field goals made (1.33 pg).
The Vikings’ Joey Ryan (Forest Lake, MN) earned honorable mention recognition.
