Hall Football Complex and Sioux Valley Gym Addition

Hall Football Complex and Sioux Valley Gym AdditionSIOUX FALLS – The Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Hall Football Complex and Sioux Valley Gym addition to the Elmen Center was held on Monday, March 13th at 4:30 pm with 200 people in attendance.

The 28,000 square-foot, two-level building will be attached to the south side of the Elmen Center at 33rd Street and Grange Avenue. The addition will improve facilities for the student-athletes and coaches who are part of the Augustana football program, and provide much needed indoor practice facilities for all Viking sports teams.

The first floor of the new facility will house the Hall Football Complex. Included are a locker room with 100 new lockers, a large weight room, meeting rooms, offices, training room, and many other amenities.

Two regulation size college wood basketball floors will be installed on the second floor.

Currently, the Elmen Center Hall Sports Forum is the only indoor area available for practice, intramurals, and gym recreation functions.

Completed in 1989, the Elmen Center measured 84,000 square-feet. In 2003, through the Elmen Center Enhancement Project, 8,000 square-feet were added to the structure.

Upon completion of the Hall Football Complex and Sioux Valley Gym addition, the building will span 120,000 square-feet.
