Nick Olson Three-Time Choice for All-Conference Team
SIOUX FALLS – Senior Nick Olson (Eden Prairie, MN) joins an elite group of Augustana men’s basketball players as a three-time selection to the All-North Central Conference Team. The 2006-07 team was announced Monday by the league office.
A 6-foot-6 forward, Olson is the ninth player in Augustana men’s basketball history to be a three-time all-conference choice. He joins Rich Chapman as the only Augie players to be named all-conference and academic all-conference three times.
Olson led the Vikings in scoring and rebounding for the third straight season, averaging 15.4 points and 5.8 rebounds a game. He averaged 15.0 points and 4.8 rebounds in league action. He reached double figures in scoring in 25 of Augie’s 28 games, including six contests in which he scored more than 20 points.
He is the 25th player in school history to have scored 1,000 career points, finishing 13th on the all-time list with 1,249 points.
