SIOUX FALLS – Dr. Philip Hefner, professor emeritus of theology at the Lutheran School of Theology, is giving a public lecture at Augustana on Monday, May 7.
The title of his lecture is Jesus Meets OncoMouse: Religion and Science in American Culture. His talk begins at 5:30 p.m. in room 123 of the Humanities Center.
Dr. Hefner is also the editor of Zygon: Journal in Religion and Science. He will also be speaking in the Chapel of Reconciliation at 10:00 a.m. May 7. He has spoken several times at Augustana and is the recipient of an Honorary Degree from Augustana. He is the Author of over 125 scholarly articles and seven books
His lecture, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Thomas F. Staley Foundation, the Chapel of Reconciliation, and the Augustana department of religion/philosophy/classics.
