Student Groups Hosting Augie Greenfest

In recognition and celebration of Earth Week, Augie GREEN, Augustana Coalition for Social Justice, and Greenpeace are bringing Augie Greenfest to campus on Saturday, April 26.

This day-long event features free music from 10 local and regional bands, yard games, fun, relaxation, and social action. The concert will be offset with clean energy.

A raffle and open-donation benefit will support the building of a school in Panyang, South Sudan.  There will also be a table for students and the community to write letters or call their representatives, urging Congress to recognize the need for clean and renewable energy development.

Augie Greenfest begins at noon and continues to 9 p.m. on the Augustana Green. The festival is free to students and the community. Attendees are encouraged to bring yard games and blankets.
