Augustana Theatre is proud to announce its first annual summer theatre camp. The camp will give students the opportunity to live on campus for one week as they take a variety of theatre classes and prepare a final showcase performance.
The camp runs June 15 - 20. It is open to all students who have completed grades 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 in the spring of 2008.
The theatre camp corresponds with the Augustana Summer Music Camp. Students will be offered one session from the music camp at no extra charge, if they so choose. Music and Theatre campers will also share some evening activities.
Most theatre camp sessions will be held in the Edith Mortensen Center on the campus of Augustana College. Students will be housed in air-conditioned dormitories located on the Augustana campus. Meals will be served in the dining hall at the Morrison Commons.
Comprehensive fee for the six-day Augustana Summer Theatre Camp is $395 + tax. Students wishing to commute will have a $100 reduction in the comprehensive fee. Commuter campers will be provided a lunch. Families with more than one student attending theatre camp will receive a $75 discount per additional camper. Augustana Summer Theatre Camp 2008 will be limited to the first 60 applicants.
