Augustana Radio Station Schedules Campus News Program

Augustana’s student-operated radio station, KAUR-FM, is hosting a 30-minute news program to be broadcast through the spring semester.

“Hear and Now News” is scheduled to air at 10:00 a.m. March 25, April 3 and 17, and May 1 and 15. The program includes news from around the campus along with in-depth sports coverage and comments from students and staff.

The staff of “Hear and Now News” includes news anchor Miranda Meyer, a sophomore from Rock Rapids, Iowa; news anchor Carli Ellwein, a freshman from Frederick, S.D.; sports anchor/writer Kate Tobin, a freshman from Eden Prairie, Minn.; and producer/news writer Nathan Elg, a senior from Sioux Falls.

KAUR can be heard 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 89.1 on the FM dial.

The on-campus radio station was founded in 1972.
