Augustana College Symphonic Band In Fall Concert

SIOUX FALLS - The Augustana College Symphonic Band presents its fall concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 17, in Kresge Recital Hall.

The concert is free and open to the public. Kresge Recital Hall is located in the Humanities Building on the Augustana campus.

This concert features the Augustana Symphonic Band, which is in its second year of performance. This 50-piece ensemble will be performing new and traditional literature for the wind band.

Performance selections include:

• "Men of Ohio March" by Henry Fillmore
• "The Winds of Poseidon" by Robert W. Smith
• "First Suite in F" by Thom Ritter George
• "Old American Country Set" by Henry Cowell

The Augustana Symphonic Band is under the direction of Dr. Bruce Ammann and Mr. Greg A. Handel.
