AUGUSTANA (6-3, 0-2 North Central Conference) has a nonconference date with Winona State University on Tuesday, December 19, in Winona, Minn. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
After the Winona contest, the Vikings are off for nine days.
COMING UP:
THE VIKINGS snapped a three-game losing string with a 119-39 win over undermanned Mount Senario (1-13) on December 15 in the Elmen Center.
Augustana shot 67 percent to Mount Senario's 26 percent, and won the rebound battle, 49-26. The visitors had just six players in uniform.
Seven vikings reached double figures, led by Jon Wagner's 21 points. Wagner was 9-for-12 from the field. The Vikings' point guard handed out a dozen assists and had four steals
Justin Vortherms, missing just one of eight shots from the field, finished with 17 points. The freshman from Sioux City, Iowa also blocked three shots.
David Homan, also 7-for-8 from the field, added 15. Sean Hilgenberg, who along with Homan snared 10 rebounds, had 14 points. Matt Wilber contributed 11 points, while Shane Burnison and Cody Levinson had 10 each. Levinson recorded four steals.
Augie led 58-20 at half time.

PERRY FORD (48-47) is in his fourth season as the Vikings' head coach. He was the head coach at Southwest State University for two years, and at the University of Minnesota-Morris for 10 seasons. At Southwest he inherited a team that had won once in 25 games. He guided the Mustangs to an 18-9 record, setting a NCAA Division II record for the biggest turnaround in one season-17 games. He is the winningest coach in the history of the Minnesota-Morris program, compiling a career mark of 189-109. He guided Morris to the post-season playoffs eight of the 10 seasons. A native of Bismarck, N.D., Coach Ford received a bachelor's degree from Jamestown College in 1978. He earned a master's degree in education from the University of North Dakota in 1985.
