SIOUX FALLS - Three members of Augustana's NCAA Division II national runner-up volleyball team have been selected to the inaugural 15-member 2000 Daktronics Inc. All-North Central Region team as chosen by members of CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America).
Named to the first team are junior setter Kari Peterson, Moorhead, Minn., and senior middle hitter Lori Fossum, Canton, S.D. Senior outside hitter Lindsay Voss was named to the second team.
Peterson was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division II Player of the Year. She averaged 14.25 assists and 3.59 digs per game.
Fossum averaged 3.34 kills per game and posted a .343 hitting percentage for the season.
Augustana, which won the North Central Region championship, was named Women's College Team of the Year by the South Dakota Sportswriters Association.
