AUGUSTANA'S Justin Robel fired 72-71-77Ñ220 to win medalist honors at the North Central Conference championships October 6-8 in Sioux Falls.
The Vikings captured runner-up honors in the team standings after leading the field after the first and second rounds.
On the women's side, Augustana did not field a full team and did not qualify for the team standings. Individually, Junior Beth Foster, Sioux Falls, posted 88-96Ñ184, and freshman Sheerene Hussain, Sioux Falls, 101-97Ñ198. The second round of the women's meet was cancelled due to cold weather.

CHAD WESTRA completed his first season as Augustana's men's and women's golf coach. He graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1990, and earned an associate of arts degree with emphasis in golf course management and operations from the San Diego Golf Academy. From February, 1995, to December, 1997, he was the head golf pro at Willow Run Golf Course in Sioux Falls. He has also served as assistant pro at Dakota Dunes Country Club in Dakota Dunes, S.D., and at Starr Pass Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz. He taught golf at Mesa College in San Diego, Calif.
