SIOUX FALLS - The Augustana College Association holds its annual meeting in conjunction with the college's Board of Regents meeting on Friday, December 1.
The Association membership consists of the congregations in South Dakota, Southwestern Minnesota, Western Iowa, and Nebraska synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
The Association is responsible for electing a Nominating Committee and electing members to serve on Augustana's governing Board of Regents. Eight positions on the Board will be filled.
In addition, delegates will hear the "State of the College" address by Augustana President Bruce R. Halverson. Dr. Richard Hanson, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College, will speak at the noon luncheon.
Delegates will be able to attend workshops on "Faith and the Vocation of a College Student" by Dr. Michelle Bartel, Religion Department; and "The Role of the Church in Lutheran Higher Education."
