Concert Features College-Community Band, Symphonic Band

SIOUX FALLS - The Augustana College-Community Band and the Augustana College Symphonic Band will be in concert Tuesday, December 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the Elmen Center. The concert is free and open to the public.

Dr. Paul Schilf, assistant professor of music, conducts the College-Community Band. Concert selections include:

Sleigh Ride Leroy Anderson
It Came Upon The Midnight Clear Traditional/David Shaffer
For Thy Courts Above Ed Huckeby
A Celtic Christmas James Hosay

Dr. Bruce Ammann, professor of music, conducts the Symphonic Band. Concert selections include:

Up On A Housetop Traditional/arr. Jeff Simmons
Silent Night Traditional/arr. Jay Dawson
The Eighth Candle Steve Reisteter
Patapan Traditional French Melody/
Arr. Tom Wallace
A Celebration of Christmas Carols Traditional/arr. Jack Bullock

The combined ensembles will perform Carol of the Shepherds by Philip Sparke, and The Ultimate Christmas Sing-Along arranged by Jerry Brubaker and Bryan Kidd.
