Augustana Academy for Seniors; Facing the New Frontiers
SIOUX FALLS - Augustana Academy for Seniors is a new program
offering seniors in and near Sioux Falls a chance to share in worship,
reflection, lunch, and an optional book discussion series.
On the third Wednesday of each month, join the campus community
for worship with Holy Communion at 10:00 a.m., followed by a lecture
and lunch until approximately 1:00 p.m. Participants are invited
to return the next day for an optional discussion of related readings
chosen by Wednesday's presenter.
Registration for the fall series, titled “Facing the New Frontiers,” must
be postmarked by Monday, September 8, 2003. The cost is $25 and
covers three meals and the programs. Send checks payable to Augustana
Academy for Seniors to The Chapel of Reconciliation, Augustana

Cosmic Neighborhood: Conversations on Our Calling in the World.
October 15: Art Olsen, professor emeritus of philosophy
and religion, “Our Religious Neighborhood: Meeting Islam.”
November 19: Lynwood Oyos, professor emeritus of history, “Our
Political Neighborhood: The Moral Challenges of an Independent
