Three Ensembles Participating in Band Scholarship Concert

SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Augustana College Band Scholarship Concert will be held Tuesday, April 8, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science.

Performing are the Augustana Band, the Augustana Symphonic Band, and the Augustana College/Community Concert Band. The concert is free and open to the public. During intermission a free-will donation will be collected to provide scholarship assistance to band members.

THE CONCERT features the Augustana College/Community Concert Band. This ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Paul R. Schilf, consists of Augustana College students and community members. Performance selections include:

AUGUSTANA'S Symphonic Band, under the direction of Dr. Bruce T. Ammann and Dr. Schilf, is a 50-piece ensemble which will be performing new and traditional literature for the wind band. Performance selections include:

THE AUGUSTANA Band, under the direction of Dr. Ammann, is the premier wind and percussion ensemble at Augustana. Performance selections include:

The concert concludes with two selections performed by a massed ensemble of all three performing bands - 180 members.
