Three Ensembles Participating in Band Scholarship Concert
SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Augustana College Band Scholarship Concert
will be held Tuesday, April 8, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Great
Hall of the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science.
Performing are the Augustana Band, the Augustana Symphonic Band,
and the Augustana College/Community Concert Band. The concert is
free and open to the public. During intermission a free-will donation
will be collected to provide scholarship assistance to band members.
THE CONCERT features the Augustana College/Community Concert
Band. This ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Paul R. Schilf,
consists of Augustana College students and community members. Performance
selections include:

AUGUSTANA'S Symphonic Band, under the direction of Dr. Bruce
T. Ammann and Dr. Schilf, is a 50-piece ensemble which will be
performing new and traditional literature for the wind band. Performance

THE AUGUSTANA Band, under the direction of Dr. Ammann, is the
premier wind and percussion ensemble at Augustana. Performance
selections include:

The concert concludes with two selections performed by a massed
ensemble of all three performing bands - 180 members.
