Augustana hosts Three Performances of “The Taste of Sunrise”

SIOUX FALLS, SD - Communication Services for the Deaf and The Children's Theatre Company of Sioux Falls present three performances of Susan Zeder's “The Taste of Sunrise” on the main stage of the Edith Mortenson Center at Augustana College.

Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, April 3 and 4, and at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 6. The play is recommended for ages 9 and older.

This remarkable production is the story of a courageous deaf boy, a young girl, and an outcast woman discovering the power of friendship and the beauty of language. All performances will be signed and voiced simultaneously.

Featured are deaf actors, Michael Chapman-Woods from Ramah, Colo., and Matt Daigle from Sioux Falls, who has performed with the National Theatre for the Deaf. The cast also includes local actors, Rick Huffman and Vickie Fuller.
